You Are Invited...
You are invited to visit virtually and experience the splendour of the season at Government House from your own home.
Government House is offering a virtual Victorian Christmas Traditions vignette along with a tour of Government House's decorations and some holiday music played on our player piano. Join Amédée & Henriette Forget, their guest Eliza Parker and Mary, their maid as they finalize preparations for their 1905 Christmas celebrations. Hear the stories of how many Christmas traditions (Christmas trees, Christmas crackers, turkey for Christmas dinner, etc.) originated. Go HERE to watch the video.
